If you are an AM workout person, get up early as the fitness center is on the small side and after 530AM it gets pretty busy meaning you might be waiting for a treadmill or elliptical. Dave at the bar is always good for a conversation and a story or too and with a number of regulars there, you will never feel anxious or isolated eating alone as the banter flows freely. I eat a lot of meals at the bar and the food is always good with the options being flexible to changes - no issues with substitutions.
The rooms are quiet with the two room lay out that let's you shut out the atrium noise. The staff is great, and incredibly helpful in answering all manner of questions. The hotel was remodeled a few years back and has held up well. Location-wise the hotel is great in that is minutes from MCI and less than 10 minutes from the Zona Rosa shopping area which offers plenty of dining and shopping options including Target and Walmart which is great for getting some staples to keep in the fridge in the room. I have spent easily more than 100 nights in this hotel over the last 6 years or so but had not been back in about a year.
